Enough about my issues. I am so glad today is Friday, and that I will have a 3-day weekend with the love of my life! We have exciting things planned, such as cleaning the guest bedroom, cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming, and mopping. Woo! Jealous, anyone? We are also going to use one of our restaurant.com certificates. I'm looking forward to that!
It has been raining like crazy here, and I love it. I spent all day yesterday at home, drinking coffee, listening to Rush, and relaxing. It was so much fun!
I am so looking forward to the 4th of July. I love this holiday! It is so important now, probably more than ever in my lifetime, that we really cherish our freedom! Some people want to take our freedoms away with the passing of new laws, and the nomination of a new judge. This 4th of July, though, I am going to focus on the those that died for our country's freedom, and the One who gives us the ultimate freedom: freedom from our sin!
I've been praying a lot lately that the Lord will increase my hunger for His Word....that the desire I have to know Him through scripture will increase, and I read this verse today and thought it was so cool.
"When Your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty."
