Spring Break...and fun news!

Well I am so excited to share some fun news with you all...starting Monday, the 22nd, I will be teaching kindergarten at the school I did the internship at! I am thrilled to be given this opportunity, and cannot wait to get started. The original teacher is pregnant with twins, one boy and one girl (how cool is that?), and is going on leave early. She is such a good teacher...I am so happy she has the kids in such a good routine, and that they are so well-behaved.

Mike took me to celebrate this last Saturday with a day of shopping and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. We had so much fun! We got to eat out on the patio, overlooking the fun that is The Woodlands, and really enjoy each others' company. The weather was perfect, and the food was amazing. I know that it is just the two of us on a daily basis, but there is still something so fun about going out some place special. You know? We had great conversation and lots of laughs. I married a very funny man, and I love that he can make me laugh!

Mike took Monday and Tuesday off so we could spend some time together over the break. We worked around the house and yard...not always fun, but definitely needed to get done. We still aren't done with the yard, but the weather hasn't been fantastic since we started.

On Thursday, I went to Seguin to spend time with my family. My mom, my sisters, and I went to get pedicures Thursday night followed by a meal at Chuy's. Friday, all of us Schaeffer kids went to lunch in San Marcos and then spent some time shopping at the outlets. It was so much fun! Then Saturday we had a lunch to celebrate my mom's birthday. I really wish Mike could have been there, but I came home shortly after cake and presents so we could spend the rest of the weekend together.

Looking back at this post, I now see how random and jumbled it appears. I am not going to attempt to fix any of it at this point though. Ha! I have so much more to post...I really want to share some of the Beth Moore tidbits from the last several weeks, but that will have to be a whole new post....I just looked down and realized it is after midnight. Yikes!
